8月30日，夏天在苟延残喘，假期已经到了尽头。那些放纵的、糜烂的、恣肆的爱，都在此刻画下句点，遗失在无尽的彷徨中。这一张Norman Fucking Rockwell出来仿佛在哀怨诉说，夏天过去了，你还好吗？

打雷一直走自己的颓丧风，一遍遍重温菲茨杰拉德式美国梦陨落后的碎梦，在夏日的海滩上不断用金粉洗刷寂寥且空虚的时光，用近乎癫狂的姿态去追随一个个不合时宜的爱人，她是Lolita，她是威尼斯甜心，她向往着原野上的White Mustang，她Young and beautiful，却向死而生，时刻担心纸碎金迷后的凋零。她不是大众的，也不希望被大众所追捧：总有人唱那些失望，那些悲伤，那些夏日终会过去的荒凉。

从Born to die的那种死在青春里的颓丧，到Ultraviolence里的纸醉金迷，再到Lust for love里的重新相信爱与和平。打雷经营着所有白人女性的形象，她是恋父的Lolita，是唱着美国圣歌的杰奎琳·肯尼迪，是爱上James Dean的蓝牛仔。然而她并未被酒精和毒品扼杀在青春里，这一张Norman Fucking Rockwell说的是成长。

这一张她不再那么丧了，不唱死亡，唱的更多是旧时光，是睹物思人的悲伤。在这个叫做Norman Fucking Rockwell的新era，世界大不一样，人们忙着去火星，美国总统是川普，而此刻的她已经从长滩搬到西岸，怀念纽约的音乐，怀念那些无所事事的日子，像The Greatest里唱的那样：

歌曲里的政治诉求也值得玩味，Kanye West自从支持川普后，打雷也有回应，“他变得和川普一样金，已经不再是曾经的他”。而这个社交网络遍布、娱乐至上的时代，直播才是吸引所有人的眼球。Lana的The Greatest已经过去，就如她那么喜欢的夏天，一去不返。

《Mariners Apartment Complex》最符合她本砖的气质，她在自己的海上和男人飘荡，驾着专辑封面里的的帆船，她无力操控人生，毕竟她只是一个女人，但她却愿意为他导航。

这首和《Norman Fucking Rockwell》相互呼应，男人在夏日的阳光里，让自己欢喜让自己忧伤。只是那个夏天都已经远远过去，就像那些好时光一样。

首发的六首歌非常好听，首首经典。后续发的歌曲里，《Love Song》值得封神，句句唱到心里去：

关于专辑为何叫Norman Fucking Rockwell，她解释说：

“It’s called Norman Fucking Rockwell, it was the album title since March. I mean, working with Jack I was in a little bit of a lighter mood ‘cause he’s so funny, so the titel trace and it are kind of about this guy who like, he is such a genius artist but he thinks he’s the shit and he knows it, and like he won’t shut talking about it. The narrative goes on and on. It’s so awesome I ended up with, you know, like, being creative on a pipe story or whatever. I just like the title track so much, that I was like “OK, definitely want the record to be called that.”

这是最好的她，是最阳光的她，33岁的她已经走出了年少时的伤春悲秋，这张专辑里用了电吉他等一些新元素，让专辑的旋律更加抓耳。而歌词的深度已经让她不仅仅关心时政，还抓住了时代的痛点。如同Pitchfork评论她：“她燃烧了整整一代人”。在这金粉散尽的夏日，打雷或凭借此砖封神。“然而时间已经不多”，“If this is it,” 她唱到, “I had a ball.”
